The OIYP Internship Program
OIYP offers four internship programs each year which allow interns to work on an international development program of a major development Organisation. It also provides opportunities for individuals to gain experience in the field of International Development. These internships are voluntary; however interns are paid a stipend to cover daily travel expenses and lunch.
There are four internships available for each intake which will run over four months taking place in Oxfam Australia offices in Sydney. Interns are expected to work four days a week.
| Program Dates | Deadline for application | |
|---|---|---|
| Intake 1 | Oct 17 - Feb 17 | Aug 5 2005 |
| Intake 2 | Feb 6 - May 5 | Nov 18 2005 |
| Intake 3 | April 24 - July 21 | Feb 10 2006 |
| Intake 4 | July 10 - Oct 6 | May 5 2006 |
Interns are required to choose a specific program area for their internship upon registration. OIYP will then send them a detailed job description. Each intern would be supervised by the relevant Program Manager and be eligible for ongoing training opportunities.
